More handmade jewelry
Or jewellery. To be even more exact, crochet earrings, because I just can’t stop. After the New Year’s Eve, the 1 of January was a very important’s Saint day and I couldn’t work, and the second was a Sunday so no crochet either, and now is the 3′rd of January and I have to go to work. I miss my crochet. I’m not one who wheares a lot of jewelry but this handmade earrings got me hooked

Crochet flags from aluminum pop tops
Tomorrow is the 1 of December, Romania’s National Day, so it’s only appropriate to post about the crocheted flags I made from aluminium pull tabs. In this picture is only the first step, after that comes a crochet border on each of the 50 flags, and a leg to put it on display. A little bit of work, really.

Crochet granny square baby boy blanket
There’s actually nothing to this crocheted baby blanket, really. Just buy some multicolored cotton thread, crochet a lot of multicolored granny squares and unite them, with a crochet margin, or by sawing them. Make a lot of mistakes, an then happily try and repare them. : ))

Crochet flowers from aluminium pull tabs (pop tops)
It started with that little crochet flower from upcycled ( recycled) aluminium pull tabs, that I did a while ago to see how it works. Well,after that one, I have been asked if I can do something bigger and maybe with the colors of the Romanian flag. So I came up with the idea for these crocheted flowers from colored alumium pull tabs for Alucro.ro, but with a twist, a leg and two leafes. I’m telling you it was fun to make this crocheted flower on aluminium pull tabs. Next I made some little flags, always crocheted on aluminium pull tabs .

New handmade earrings
Well, going on with the handmade jewelery. What can I say, girls just wanna have fun, while looking good, right?
So I made a new model for my handmade earrings with little seed beads on some cotton thread and a few knots, as in macrame knots.
And here’s the result!
More to come, in beautifull autumn colors. Ah, so many plans ahead ! First a handmade baby blanket from colorful solid granny squares, some more crochet aluminium pull tab (pop top) flags, earrings of course and some other jewelery for all the girls. Wonder when I’ll sleep!? I guess when I’m dead : ))! Big hugs to all of you. Gotta go, much work to be done!

Green flower, handmade phone cover
I couldn’t stop at just one phone cover.
The flower pattern is again of romanian ethnic inspiration, because I’m very fond of our folklore. And I always wanted to include some of this folklore into my crochet, and into my handmade stuff. So this patterns really provoced me, were’nt that easy to make, to be onest. Ethnic handmade in Romania phone cover
Yes, it’s handmade in Romania, I had to specify that so no one will get confused. I saw the other day some cute little crochet bags, made in china of course, that were so cheap, that none of my work could ever compete. It was like 3 euro, a bag!! Hmm. So what do I do, give up? Or try to come with new ideas?
Well that is the new crochet phone cover that got me so excited, until the finishing touch : I’m not convinced by the button. The pattern is ethnic, it is originally for embroidery but I gave it another destination. I want to see the limits of tapestry crochet. And I think last night I found them, when the lines of a flower pattern didn’t seem to connect, I guess it likes full patterns. Well, well crochet accordingly. But I really want to try more ethnic stuff.

Handmade phone cover
Well, I hat to try and crochet at least one phone cover, mainly because I never find my cell phone in the bag. Done two so far. The one in the photo is the first one, and I think it could have gone a lot! better. But I really hope people will like them. I don’t now, I mean why would people buy such things, just because they’re handmade? Well, hopefully yes, and I’ll go a little traditional on them just to see what happens…
I’m looking for that right model. I’ve been experiencing with tapestry crochet, it’s not easy, but I really like the geometric and ethnographic, traditional, folk patterns I could play with. So if there are any requests just let me now.

Handamde earrings _ Crochet Circles
Well these handmade earrings were a little difficult to finish, for the simple fact that my thread of choice, Coats Anchor Crochet is nowhere to be found in this city and my color stash is so incomplete. So I’m stuck trying different other threads that just don’t work for me and the final outcome is so unsatisfactory. It is frustrating, so frustrating. To order the thread from ebay it’s not worth it because of the taxes, I really don’t now what to do. Well I guess I’ll survive. Don’t ever loose hope, right!?
