Walking the city

I guess I miss the city more than I thougt. I miss the anonimity ant the noise, the creativity and the originality, the little everyday surprises, and the smell it has in the spring. So, enjoy a galery of vintage and handmade finds, with the city in mind. Maybe it will inspire you to take a sunday walk and open your heart and mind to embrace the city, don’t forget the camera and the music, for me, today, the 80′s do the trick :)

Handmade loves spring and spring loves flowers

Yes, the spring is coming, after  a weird, too cold or too warm winter. The spirits get restles, and the creations all turn into flowers. All artisans make at least a flower to celebrate spring, little birds in the sky and the comeback of the sun. What can I say, we are suckers for spring.

No limits to autumn handmade fashion trends

As I said : No limit! It appeares that this great autumn color palette is a huge inspiration. So it actually rains with treasuries : ))

First we have “Autumn Glory” by Solandia: with a lot of warm colours, knitted mittens and shawls, crocheted bag and earrings..and leaves, a lot of leaves:

Second, we have “Autumn colurs” again by Solandia, with a bit of intensity, in red and green, knitted bag, crochet earrings, crochet vase, and felted leaves,…as you can see,  more leaves : ))

Third, with a more fresh yellow green palette we have “Sun in the forest” by EgrettaGarzetta. A bit minimalistic, and geometric, with green crochet earrings, art deco tote bag, and a foxy pillow:

And forth, “Colored winter” by Mehru, , with a bit of contrast, between orange and black, just as I like it. You have a great hand knitted sweater, crochet orange earrings, black boots, and leaf pandant, among other great findings.

Handmade original crochet silk necklace for the always bohemian

I kinda got lost on words of description…: )) Romantic is the same as bohemian? What is hipster to be exact? And who sais the chic is right?

So all that aside, here is my latest creation, a playful crochet necklace, with fine synthetic silk thread, in blue, mauve, lila and pink (went a little on a spring palette there), with antique plated brass chain and elements.  Soon to follow, a matching pair of earrings of course.

Blue textile necklace – from me to me

Finally!  I am my worst client, so pretentious and so demanding.  It’s more than a year since I had this project in mind. And of course I always postponed. I always find the reasons. But textile jewelry appeals to me a lot, and I think it will be an interesting match with crochet, and tatting techniques ( just got my tatting shuttles and started to learn about it : )). So this is my first textile necklace and the ring to match it.
